Decoding Swedish politics and culture through a right-wing lens for global audiences

Welcome to Hyperborean Thoughts. I'm Dan Eriksson, and this is my platform for providing insightful analysis and commentary on Swedish politics, culture, and current events. My mission is to offer a unique perspective on Sweden's evolving landscape, tailored for an international, English-speaking audience with conservative and nationalist interests.

My Vision

In an era of rapid global changes, Sweden stands at a crossroads of tradition and transformation. Through Hyperborean Thoughts, I aim to shed light on the nuances of Swedish society often overlooked by mainstream media. My goal is to offer:

  • In-depth analysis of Swedish political developments

  • Cultural insights from a conservative viewpoint

  • Critical examinations of Sweden's policies and their global implications

  • Explorations of Swedish history and its relevance to contemporary issues

Why "Hyperborean"?

I chose the term "Hyperborean," which refers to the mythical people of the far north in Greek mythology, to evoke the notion of a unique Nordic perspective. Through this publication, I offer wisdom and insights from the northern reaches of Europe to the world.

My Commitment

As the sole writer of Hyperborean Thoughts, I am dedicated to:

  1. Accuracy: Providing well-researched, factual information

  2. Clarity: Explaining complex Swedish issues in accessible terms

  3. Perspective: Offering a right-wing, nationalist viewpoint on current events

  4. Engagement: Fostering meaningful discussions among my readers

About Me

I'm Dan Eriksson, and I've been at the forefront of Swedish nationalism for more than two decades. My journey in this field has given me unique insights into the political and cultural landscape of Sweden, which I'm eager to share with a global audience.

My involvement in Swedish nationalism spans various roles and organizations:

  • 2004: Became the vice chairman of the National Democratic Youth

  • 2011: Joined the board of The Party of the Swedes, responsible for international relations

  • 2012: Started the podcast Radio Framåt, which evolved into Motgift and is now known as "Dagens Svegot" - almost an institution in Swedish nationalism

  • 2015: Became the chairman of Europa Terra Nostra, which led me to travel extensively across Europe, working to bring European nationalists together, especially those with complicated shared histories

  • 2017: Founded Det fria Sverige, Sweden's largest ethnonationalist organisation, which I continue to chair

My main focus in Hyperborean Thoughts will be on issues related to migration, integration, and wokeism. I aim to provide a clear, factual perspective on these topics from a Swedish nationalist viewpoint.

I started this publication because I recognized a global interest in Swedish affairs. While there are many myths and exaggerations about Sweden, there are also real problems that need addressing. My goal is to "tell it like it is" from a Swedish nationalist perspective, offering insights that may not be available through mainstream channels.

On a personal note, I've been married since 2015 and am a proud father of two children. This family foundation informs my perspective and deepens my commitment to Sweden's future.
